Course content
6 units · 40 hoursData analysis and Excel basicsSessions 1–2
Introduction to data analysis and business problems, Excel fundamentals and data structure. Lab: understand a company's sales problem and organise a professional data table.
Excel functions and data cleaningSessions 3–7
Formulas (SUM, AVERAGE, COUNT, IF), logical and conditional functions (AND, OR, SUMIFS, COUNTIFS), VLOOKUP and XLOOKUP, text and date functions, and cleaning duplicates, missing values and errors.
Pivot tables, charts and KPIsSessions 8–9
Analyse sales by branch and product with pivot tables and pivot charts, then build a monthly performance report.
Power QuerySessions 10–12
Import data from different sources, change data types and split columns, then merge, append and refresh data from several branches.
SQLSessions 13–16
Tables, databases and SELECT; WHERE, ORDER BY and DISTINCT; GROUP BY, HAVING, SUM and COUNT; joins that link customers to orders and products.
Power BI and the final projectSessions 17–20
Import data and build relationships, visuals, measures and core KPIs with basic DAX, an interactive sales dashboard, then present the final project with recommendations.
